The Children's Sleep Laboratory - Orlando - Melbourne - Kissimmee - Tampa are the flagship pediatric sleep laboratories of the Central Florida Pediatric Sleep Disorders Institute (CFPSDI). This is the only true pediatric sleep disorders center in Central Florida and boasts state of the art facilities for the performance of pediatric sleep studies. The facility performs Sleep Polysomnography with and without CPAP/BiPAP titration, as well as Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT).

The laboratory was conceived out of a desire to create a facility that met the specific technical requirements of the pediatric patient. The perception that any facility can do children well has long been proven to be a fallacy. Pediatric studies, just like the uniqueness of children, need to be done in pediatric furnished and equipped facilities with staff who work with children all the time and not incidentally.
With locations in Orlando, Melbourne, Kissimmee and Tampa, these state of the art pediatric diagnostic facilities provide:

• Diagnostic sleep polysomnogram
• Diagnostic sleep polysomnogram with CPAP/BiPAP
titration
• Multiple Sleep Latency Test
• All services are provided in a family friendly environment
• Open seven days a week for studies
This is the premier pediatric sleep disorders clinic in Central Florida and boasts the services of Central Florida's only pediatric specialist with board certification in Pediatrics, Pediatric Pulmonology and Pediatric Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Ajayi is Central Florida’s only board certified sleep disorders specialist with board certification in
pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology. The clinic also manages all sleep disorders including:

• Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome
• Insomnia (inability to sleep)
• Sleep terrors
• Confusional arousals
• Snoring and sleep apnea
• Sleep walking
• Narcolepsy and Hypersomnia.
• Evaluations on children with hyperactivity and with
suspected sleep fragmentation

In December 2007, The Children's Sleep Laboratory & Sleep Disorders Clinic announced the expansion of its sleep medicine services with the addition of Dr. Kimberly Kirkpatrick Justice, a licensed child psychologist, in the position of Pediatric Sleep Psychologist.

Given an increased emphasis on the interactions between sleep disordered breathing and neurocognitive functioning in children, the addition of the sleep psychologist will allow for better identification of patients at risk from a neurobehavioral perspective. Also, neuropsychological assessment questions will be included with all evaluations to enhance the service currently provided.

The addition of Dr. Justice will allow us to provide a full range of sleep medicine services with an additional focus in pediatric sleep psychology. The addition of a full-time sleep psychologist will allow the practice to increase expertise and level of service in the following areas:

Management of all forms of insomnia including:
o Behavioral insomnia of childhood
o Adjustment Sleep Disorders
o Idiopathic Insomnia
o Psychological and Physiological Insomnias

Management of hypersomnias including:
o Narcolepsy
o Idiopathic Hypersomnia, including the
management of the affective associations seen with narcolepsy and hypersomnia.

Evaluation of sleep-disordered breathing diagnoses including:
o Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.
o Primary snoring.
