DrAjayi

Dr. Akin Ajayi was born in London, England and raised in both England and Nigeria. He attended the University of Ilorin, Nigeria where he received his degree in Medicine in 1992.

In 1996, Dr. Ajayi started a residency in Pediatrics at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. After completing his residency in June of 1999, he then proceeded to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where he received his training in Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine. This was completed in June of 2002. As a fellow in the Children’s Hospital, Dr. Ajayi participated in research regarding airway reactivity and sickle cell disease.

Dr. Ajayi is Board Certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Pulmonology and in Sleep Medicine. Currently, Dr. Ajayi is the Medical Director and President at, both, the Children’s Sleep Laboratory, the flagship facilities of the Central Florida Pediatric Sleep Disorders Institute, and The Children's Lung, Asthma & Sleep Specialists (CLASS). CLASS offices are located in Winter Park, Orlando and in Melbourne, Florida. The Children's Sleep Laboratory locations are located in Winter Park, Orlando, Melbourne, Tavares and in Tampa, Florida.

Dr. Ajayi manages all pediatric pulmonary illnesses and sleep medicine disorders. He also runs a high risk preterm pulmonary program in addition to the other pulmonary and sleep programs.

Dr. Ajayi is happily married and has 3 daughters.
